Bus Stops

Transfers

Transfers are issued if you change vehicles to complete your trip. A transfer does not allow you to layover. You must take the next available bus that allows you to complete your trip.

Bikes

Two bikes can be carried on most MTA buses. Bike rack space is provided on a first come, first served basis for no addition charge.
In Ukiah, bikes are not allowed south of downtown.

Within Ukiah, bikes are not permitted south of School Street and Perkins Street on the Local #9, and not south of Henry Street on the Jitney #7.

Animals

Service animals are welcome on buses and Dial-A-Ride vehicles. Small pets are allowed in cages on buses only.

MTA funds specialized transportation for seniors and persons with disabilities through contracts with six senior centers

General Information

The one-way fare ranges from $1.00 within one-zone, $1.75 for a two-zone trip and $2.50 for a three-zone trip. Monthly passes and punch passes are available to offer frequent riders substantial discounts.

On all MTA services, seniors and passengers with certain disabilities will ride for a reduced fare. (A current, authorized MTA transit discount card must be presented each time the passengers boards the bus.)

On buses, up to two children age 6 and under ride free with a fare paying adult over 16 years of age. The third and subsequent children and unaccompanied children pay full fare.

Discount passes are available to offer frequent riders substantial savings. Monthly Passes are good for unlimited ride in a calendar month:

$25 for one-zone pass
$40 for a two-zone pass
$60 for a three-zone pass
$12 for a 16-ride punch pass - one fare zone per punch

Wheelchair

MTA's buses and vans - (taxis) are wheelchair lift equiped. When using Dial-A-Ride please advise the dispatcher of any special needs you may have so the appropriate vehicle can be dispatched to your location.

ADA

Passengers with disabilities who are unable to use standard lift-equiped vehicles may be eligible for door to door paratransit services. For more information call: 707.462.5765 ext.443.
